Google Honors Legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan with Doodle

Google often set doodles in the form of pictures or animation to honor mark of legacy of legends and this time Google doodle honors Legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on his 67th birthday for being the most iconic singer in history.

Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali was born on 13th October 1948 in a Punjabi family of Faisalabad. Despite of the fact that his father did not want Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to join this vocation, he showed a greater interest and aptitude which convinced his father and he allowed him to join.

After his father’s death in 1971, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan became the official leader of family Qawwali party which lead him to become the legendary singer of history. He is popularly known as “ShahenShah-e-Qawwali” meaning “The King of Kings of Qawwali”

Ustad Nusrat Fateh Khan was signed by Oriental Star Agencies, England, in the early 1980s. He went on to release movie scores and albums in Europe, India, Japan, Pakistan, and US.

He was engaged in collaborations and experiments with Western artists, becoming a well-known world music artist. He toured extensively, performing in over 40 countries worldwide.

During his short life span he received various awards from around the World. He died on 16th August 1997 at the age of 48 years due to sudden cardiac arrest at Cromwell Hospital, England after which his body was send to Faisalabad for funeral.
