Muhammad Zohaib Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), informed the IT sector throughout the country that a new 10-member central executive committee (CEC) has been elected for the 2024–2026 term. On September 30, 2024, the present CEC’s term will end.
The results were announced by Secretary General Nadeem Malik of P@SHA, following vote totaling in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi; on September 23, 2024, the election for the office bearers of the highest IT body is scheduled. Malik continued that on October 1st, 2024, the new office bearers and CEC of P@SHA would assume leadership.
The outgoing chairman, Zohaib Khan, congratulated the newly elected P@SHA central executive committee for continuing the legacy of the nation’s most budding and swiftly growing industry, which set a record with $3.2 billion in exports in FY24.
Since 1992, the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITES (P@SHA) has served as the country’s only trade association for the IT and IT-enabled services industries. Its mandate is to collaborate with the government on policy matters and with all other relevant parties to advance the IT industry.
It also aims to develop venues that expand the opportunities available to ecosystem members, both locally and globally.
Furthermore, P@SHA is the only organization in the Pakistani IT sector that is registered with and accepted by organizations like the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), APICTA (Asia Pacific ICT Alliance), WISTA (World Information Technology and Services Alliance), and ASOCIO (Asian Oceanic Computing Industry Organization).
