According to an order from KP Police to district police officers (DPOs) and regional police officers through the province, a ban was put in place, so police officers are not permitted to use social media while on duty anymore.
The letter made it abundantly clear that officers and officials are forbidden from accessing popular social media platforms such as Tik Tok, WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms.
The uploading of police badges or another sort of identifiable evidence on social media platforms is also prohibited by the policy in keeping with worries about standard operating procedure (SOP) violations.
The letter also addresses that those individuals who ignore the new policy will face departmental discipline and also that multiple officers have been spotted to be in violation of these SOPs.
