Airlinks become Apple distributor in Pakistan.

On 12 September in Karachi, Apple’s approved distributor for Pakistan, GNEXT, made an announcement that Air Link Communication Limited (AIRLINK) has become its major partner and Apple product distributor.

According to the statement of stock filing, the main goal of this crucial appointment is to dramatically increase the availability of Apple products and give users better access to the newest innovations through detailed Retail Channel coverage.

Shahid Khan, CEO of GNEXT Technologies said in a statement, “We are thrilled to welcome Air Link Communication Limited, an established and proven name in the industry.” 

“Their extensive reseller channel network aligns perfectly with our vision of making Apple products accessible to a wider audience in Pakistan. We will strive to deliver an unparalleled experience for Apple customers.”

This attempt will be used by GNEXT Technologies and Air Link Communication Limited to build a strong network of licensed shops throughout Pakistan and to unite their resources. It is to make sure that customers will be able to obtain easily large assortment of Apple products such as iPads, MacBooks, Apple watches, iPhones and accessories.

 CEO of Air Link Communication Limited, Muzzaffar Hayat Piracha voiced his excitement saying, “We are honored to join forces with GNEXT Technologies as their premium partner. Apple products are synonymous with quality and innovation, and we are committed to offering our customers the best possible experience.”

On the stock exchange, AIRLINK’s share price at the time of reporting was Rs. 140.55, up 2.94 percent, or Rs. 4.01, with more than 5-3 million shares on Thursday.

Airlink is a well-known smartphone distributor with service locations throughout Pakistan and a significant presence. The company has a contract with Mercantile Pacific Asia Pte. Ltd., or “MP,” the Apple Authorized Distributor for Pakistan, to distribute products purchased from MP in Pakistan.

Airlink is an “important distributor” of Samsung, Huawei, Tecno, Itel, TCL, and Xiaomi and now will also be an Apple product distributor.

Having a market value of about 20% with imported mobile phones, the company imports and distributes mobile phones and accessories in Pakistan, according to Pakistan Customs Import Data and the GfK report. In 2018, the company was awarded “Platinum National Distributor” and “Sustainable Channel Growth Partner” by Huawei.

Throughout Pakistan, the company sells mobile phones and accessories through a distribution network that consists of 16 regional hubs linked to more than 4,000 retailers and 1,000 wholesalers.

The company had fourteen retail outlets as of June 30,2021: 5 in Karachi, 5 in Lahore, 2 in Bahawalpur, 1 in Hyderabad and 1 in Multan.
