WhatsApp new feature

Previously, The Meta-owned messaging platform reported the launch of the new feature “Favourites” with the release of WhatsApp for iOS 24.16.79 on the App Store.

The “Favourites” filter dropped on Tuesday and in the upcoming weeks the filter will become accessible to all WhatsApp users.

The new feature allows you to store all of the conversations with your closest friends or family members in one location for easy access. Additionally, thanks to the “Favourites” section added to the calls page, the instant messaging software now allows you to speed-dial your favorite contacts without having to search through the contacts book or go through the recent call logs.

Your favourites will be displayed prominently at the top of the calls tab once you add them, giving you quicker access and serving as a filter for the chat list.

You can add a contact or group to your favorites list by either tapping the “Add favorite” option after selecting the specific contact or group from the calls tab, or by selecting the “Favorites” filter from your chats screen. By long tapping a chat and choosing “Add to favorite,” you can also add it to your favourites.

Similar to this, WhatsApp allows you to go to Settings > Favorites > Add to Favorite and manage the contacts and groups you love. Additionally, you have the option to rearrange them whenever you’d like.

WhatsApp has also launched another new feature for calling interface with updated controls to go along with this, making it more dependable and user-friendly.

If you don’t have these features, note that some accounts may receive them over the coming weeks, according to the official changelog.
