Pakistani IT firms targeting innovative Saudi Market at Tech Festival

Pakistani IT firms that participated in the country’s largest tech festival stated that they were targeting substantial opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s “growing” industry, which provided them with the newest technology, profitable projects, and innovation.

Starting on Tuesday in Pakistan’s commercial center of Karachi, the 25th edition of ITCN Asia, a yearly convention that bring together IT experts, technology firms, government officials and shareholders. The three-day event is set to run until 29th august.

This tech festival will cover the most recent developments in technology, business possibilities and industry trends. Furthermore, it was observed by the participants that the event has encouraged the international businesses to put money in Pakistani IT market.

The event is expected to bring in over $500 million in investments and commercial prospects, which might significantly strengthen Pakistan’s economy, according to the organizers. 750 firms have registered for the exhibition, including local brands like PTCL and EasyPaisa and international tech giants like Google, TikTok, Microsoft, and Huawei.

The second edition of the World CIO 200 Summit is also being hosted at the event. It’s an international event that is held in 55 countries only. This edition increases the expo’s possibilities for networking and raises its international profile.

According to the CEO of Hexalyze Consulting Services, Saad Ali, a business that was registered in both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, revealed that the kingdom presents substantial prospects for Pakistanis because of its rapidly expanding market.

“There are a lot of projects, enterprise projects, even NEOM itself, huge projects here. It’s a growing sector and all the big IT companies are currently opening their head offices and branch offices in Saudi Arabia.” Ali stated to Arab News.

Ali also elaborating on how his business was primarily concerned with the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia.

The chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association, Zohaib Khan, sang the praises of Saudi Arabia’s potential in the field of IT under its Vision 2030 program.

 “We only have to grab the market, to have some innovation in Saudi Arabia,” Khan stated.

The project director of ITCN Asia, Muhammad Umair Nizam, agreed that it is the ideal time for Pakistani firms to enter the Saudi market.

 “Many Pakistani companies are already exploring this market. Some have already opened their regional offices in South Arabia, some have shifted their head offices in South Arabia. So, I think in the near future, because the Saudi-Pakistan bond is very strong, we will be a major player in the Saudi tech ecosystem.” Nizam stated.
