Whatsapp web is getting it’s audio and video calling feature for users. Desktop users will be able to get calling in near future through Whatsapp web.
Whatsapp web launched in 2015 enabling users to connect through desktop, but, users have to return to their phone to make a call. Early this year, announcements have been made regarding the launch of audio and video calls through the desktop. Users have been early waiting for its use. According to WABetainfo, Whatsapp web is rolling out the calling feature soon.
A Soft launch has been made for the Beta version with the Beta label on buttons. These buttons appear beside the search option at the top of the chat window. When there is an incoming call, a separate small window appears with options for accepting or declining the call. When there is an ongoing call a small user-interface is there with some controlling functions.
Whatsapp web became popular among users for its better typing experience with a larger keyboard. With the calling feature added now, the app is expected to get a boom. The feature must allow the usage of third-party speakers and microphones for a better user experience. Let’s see what users have to say about the feature after is complete launch.
