Yes you heard it right, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus could bend in Pocket as it has been reported by many users across world. This seems very weird as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus Prices in Pakistan are quite high.
Many user on apple forum and franchises have reported this issue that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus bends a little if are placed in back or front pocket of pants. A slight bend usually appears near the volume button.
Also it was viral on internet that this bend is actually a new feature by introduced by apple to change the viewing angle of videos etc. There were many people who told on forums and websites that they bend their iPhones to try this feature.
These kind of hoax were made clear by Apple that iPhone 6 Plus could bend if enough stress is applied on it while iPhone 6 does not bends easily and require more stress and this kind of stress is not usually applied, with normal use these devices do not bend in pocket. This means that iPhone 6 is more resistant to bend then iPhone 6 Plus.
Apple also stated that this is extremely rare as only 9 complaints were received from customers after sale. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are passed through many tests including bend test to avoid any such issues leading to high customer complaints.
Both models have steel / titanium inserts meant to avoid such issues. Apple also says that they have introduced ” ion-strengthened ” glass screen to prevent devices from bending out of shape.
